(H) The procedure in case of marriage is very simple now. The consenting pair of male and female come together with families or friends as witnesses, take vows as per the procedure of their choice and it’s done. No court procedures and involvement is essential.
Divorces or at least the Mutual Consent Divorces, should be made equally simple. At present all divorces have to mandatorily go through courts, which makes them not only lengthy but also costly and mentally torturing. Hence at least the MCDs should be made as simple as possible. An affidavit declaring divorce by mutual consent, of course duly registered, should make the MCD legal. This should have no problem especially when the MCD is made “No Blame No Claim”.
This one measure will make not only the concerned parties, but also the courts happy, since it will save their time and energy also.
