(J) Apart from the Bigamy laws, there are other laws which are designed to protect women only and punish the men and the family system and culture. These are marriage laws, divorce laws, dowry act, domestic violence act, rape laws and other laws and rules. Such draconian and discriminatory one sided laws have caused harm and sufferings for the concerned parties namely men, families, eldest, children in various ways as follows
(a) It has created discontent and discord among husband and wife and also other members of the family, especially children.
(b) It has given rise to adultery by both men and women which has in turn created distrust and hatred among the husband and wife and also other members of the family, especially children.
(c) It has given rise to acts of violence by both men and women on each other as well as other members of the family, especially children.
(d) Criminal acts like suicide and murders have risen tremendously mainly because these laws are turning normal and law abiding people into criminals. Due to this the whole family as well as the society keeps suffering untold traumas.
(e) It has given a convenient tool in the hands of blackmailers, consisting of both men and women.
